Our School Program
v Orchard Place Campus School practices the Circle of Courage philosophy, which emphasizes a positive, holistic approach to educating children, one that builds on the strengths and meets the basic needs of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity, shared by every child.
v Our school program has a remarkable and committed staff. All teachers are experienced in teaching students with behavior and mental health diagnoses. Teachers regularly participate in college coursework and professional development opportunities to improve professional practice and enhance student achievement.
v Our school provides small class sizes, which assist student learning by providing relevant and individualized instruction based on the strengths and needs of each student.
v Orchard Place Campus School is a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS incorporates the teaching of pro-social skills into the daily curriculum. Students learn appropriate social skills and are supported for demonstrating positive, ‘Circle of Courage’ behaviors.
v The educational staff works collaboratively with the therapeutic/clinical staff in order to meet the needs of each student.
